Alpcour Cot Mattress Pad with Pillow

Description

An Alpcour camping cot mattress pad is what turns a cot from a place to lie down into a place to sleep. It measures 75 by 28 inches, comes with a matching corduroy pillow and a carry case, and it fits elevated, folding and flat cots alike.

Why a camping cot mattress pad is not optional

Sleeping straight on cot fabric has two problems. The bar under your hips finds you by 2 am, and cold air moving underneath pulls heat out of your back all night. A camping cot mattress pad fixes both — it spreads the load off the frame and puts a layer between you and moving air.

At 75 by 28 inches this covers a standard adult cot end to end, and the pillow matches rather than being the flat afterthought most sets ship with.

Why a camping cot mattress pad needs a waterproof face

Condensation is the quiet problem in a tent. Warm bodies, cold nights, and by morning there is moisture on every surface — including the underside of a sleeping bag. A waterproof face on the pad stops that moisture soaking into the padding, which is what makes a pad damp and cold on night two of a trip.

Corduroy also grips a nylon cot deck rather than sliding off it, which is more useful at 3 am than it sounds.

Where a camping cot mattress pad fits

On a folding camping cot in a tent, in a truck bed or van, on a cabin bunk, or laid on the floor as a guest bed at home. It rolls into its case small enough to keep in the vehicle permanently.

Care and maintenance

Spot clean the corduroy with mild soap and let it dry fully before rolling it into the case. Do not store it compressed and damp. Shake grit off before it goes on the cot, since sand between pad and cot fabric abrades both. The pillow washes the same way.
