Choosing your colour and size

Vintage Brown and Asphalt give the softest contrast with the white thread and look worn-in from day one. Forest and Navy sit closer to classic outdoor kit. Black is the safest if the sweatshirt has to double as town wear. On sizing, this is a genuine oversized cut: take your usual size for the intended loose fit, or drop one size if you want it closer to the body. Where it fits

This is a mid-layer and an outer layer both. Over a merino base it handles a frosty morning on the water; on its own it carries an autumn afternoon in the woods. Care and maintenance

Wash inside out in cold water with similar colours. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry — high heat is what shrinks cotton fleece and stiffens embroidery backing. Do not iron directly over the stitching; press from the inside with a cloth if you need to. No bleach, no fabric softener: softener coats the fibres and kills the fleece loft over time.

Is the logo printed or embroidered?
Embroidered. The design is stitched into the fabric with white and orange thread at nine inches wide. Nothing is printed on this garment.

Does the oversized fit mean I should size down?
Only if you want a normal fit. The cut is deliberately roomy, so your usual size gives the relaxed look in the photos. Size down one for a closer fit.

Will it shrink?
Cotton fleece can shrink slightly on a hot wash or a hot dryer. Cold wash and low tumble dry and it stays true to size.

How warm is it compared with a hoodie?
The fleece weight is the same 10 oz, so the body is equally warm. A hoodie adds neck and head coverage; this crewneck layers more easily under a shell.

Why does the 3XL cost more?
Larger sizes use noticeably more fabric and thread. The price difference reflects the actual cost rather than being spread across every size.

How long does delivery take?

What if it arrives damaged?

How should I wash outdoor cotton layers?
Cold water, low heat, no softener. The National Park Service Leave No Trace principles also cover washing gear responsibly in the field, well away from water sources.
