No plastic anywhere the water touches

Plenty of bottles at this price line the inside with plastic and call it insulated. This one does not. The inner wall is stainless steel, the outer wall is stainless steel, and the copper sits in the vacuum gap between them doing the actual work of blocking radiant heat. Black is the one that hides scuffs best and disappears in a pack full of dark gear, which is why most people pick it first. Navy is the same idea with a little more warmth to it and shows the white and orange mark more softly. Grey is the one that reads newest for longest, because dust and water spots are invisible on it, though a deep scratch shows sooner than on black. The bottle is identical in all three; only the powder coat changes.

Care and maintenance

Hand wash the copper insulated water bottle with warm soapy water and a bottle brush, and dry it upside down with the lid off so nothing sits in the threads. Keep it out of the dishwasher: the heat cycle is what dulls a powder-coat finish and can shorten the life of the vacuum seal. For coffee smells, a spoonful of baking soda and warm water left overnight clears the inside without scouring it. Never freeze it and never put it in a microwave.

Is there any plastic inside?
No. Both walls are stainless steel and the insulating layer is copper inside a vacuum. The only plastic is in the lid seal, which is BPA-free.

Does it sweat with ice water in it?
No. In the copper insulated water bottle the vacuum gap stops the cold reaching the outer wall, so the outside stays dry and your pack stays dry with it.

Will it fit a cup holder?
At 2.9 in across the body it fits most standard car and truck holders, but check yours if it is a narrow one. For a guaranteed cup-holder fit, the 20 oz tumbler is the safer choice.

Can I put the copper insulated water bottle in the dishwasher?
We do not recommend it. Hand wash with warm soapy water and a bottle brush; dishwasher heat dulls the powder coat over time.
