Description
A solar power bank is the piece of kit you buy hoping you never need it, and then use every trip. This solar power bank has four ways to put energy in — wall, solar panel, USB-C, and a hand crank — four cables built into the body, a two-headed flashlight, a compass and a spirit level. The solar power bank ships from a United States warehouse.
Four ways to charge it, and one that needs no sun at all
The wall and USB-C routes are the fast ones: 18 W in either direction. The 1.65 W solar panel is a trickle — useful over a long day on a pack lid, not a substitute for an outlet, and any brand claiming otherwise about a panel this size is selling you something. The hand crank is the interesting one. At about 120 turns a minute it produces 5 V at 400 mA, and the supplier states that roughly one minute of cranking runs the LED light for about a minute. It will not refill the solar power bank, but it will get you light and a short call when everything else is flat.
Features
- Four built-in cables — USB-C, Lightning, Micro-USB and USB-A live in the body, so there is nothing to forget and nothing to lose.
- 18 W two-way fast charging — PD in over USB-C, QC out over USB-A, and it charges itself as fast as it charges your phone.
- Hand crank generator — 5 V at 400 mA at roughly 120 rpm. Emergency power that does not depend on weather or wiring.
- Solar panel — 1.65 W, for topping up over a long day outdoors.
- Twin LED flashlight — two heads on the end, bright enough to set up camp or change a tire.
- Compass and spirit level — both built into the shell, plus a carabiner that clips to a pack strap.
- 580 g, 17.3 × 8.4 × 4.2 cm — it lives in a lid pocket or a glovebox, not in your jeans.
- Ships from the United States — the supplier holds this solar power bank in a U.S. warehouse, so it arrives faster than the rest of the catalog.

About that 40,000 mAh number
Every power bank on the market quotes capacity at the cell voltage, which is 3.7 V. Your phone charges at 5 V, and converting between the two costs energy. So a 40,000 mAh cell rating delivers meaningfully less than 40,000 mAh at the output — that is true of every brand, not just this one, and the honest way to read the figure is as the supplier’s cell rating rather than a promise of how many phone charges you get. We quote what the supplier states and let you do the arithmetic.
Which color to pick
Orange is the one you can find in a footwell at night or inside a bag of dark gear. If this solar power bank is going into an emergency kit rather than daily use, take the Orange: a storm kit only helps if you can find it in the dark. Black is the better choice for daily carry, a work bag or a truck console, where you want it to look plain. Both colors are the same unit at the same price.
Where a solar power bank like this fits
Multi-day hikes, overlanding, boat and dock use, a truck kit, and the drawer at home that matters when the grid goes down. It is heavy for ultralight backpacking and it is not a laptop charger, but for keeping phones, headlamps, GPS units and a camera alive across a long weekend it is the right size. The National Weather Service’s weather safety pages are a good starting point if you are building a kit for storm season rather than for a trail.
Care and maintenance
Charge the solar power bank fully before you store it, and top it up every three months — lithium cells left flat for a year do not come back. Do not leave it on a dashboard in summer; heat kills capacity faster than use does. Use the wall or USB-C route for real charging and treat the panel as a top-up. Keep the port covers seated: the shell is rugged but the ports are not sealed, and grit in a USB-C socket is the most common way one of these dies.
Frequently asked questions
Can I charge the solar power bank entirely from the sun?
Not practically. A 1.65 W panel takes a very long time to fill a solar power bank this size. Treat the solar panel as a way to slow the drain over a long day outdoors, and charge it from a wall socket before you leave.
What does the hand crank actually do?
It produces 5 V at 400 mA at roughly 120 turns a minute. The supplier states that about a minute of cranking gives about a minute of LED light. It is an emergency feature, not a charging method.
Do I need to bring cables?
No. USB-C, Lightning, Micro-USB and USB-A are built into the body. Bring your wall adapter for the fast charge and nothing else.
Is it waterproof?
The supplier does not give an IP rating, so we do not claim one. The shell is rugged and ribbed, but treat it as rain-resistant, not submersible, and keep the ports covered.
How long does the solar power bank take to charge?
From a wall socket over USB-C at 18 W, several hours — it is a large pack. The supplier does not publish an exact figure, so we are not inventing one.
What else should I look at?
Headlamps and camp lighting sit in the same kit. Browse the full shop or start from the categories.

It is what it says it is works fine. i’ll admit, i had unrealistic expectations when i ordered it thinking it was amazing. it’s fine for what it is
Corresponds to the description, fast shipping, good quality. Very sturdy. I recommend it 100%.
2nd one was purchased because i liked the first one so much. Sturdy
Extraordinarily fast on the charge, compass, and level were actually useful.
The item is quite strong… the variety of cables and its powerful light are very practical… but its actual capacity is approximately 25,000 mAh and not 40,000 as indicated… but for the price it’s not bad and you can still charge your phone at least 4 or 5 times with it… I’ve attached a photo of the measured charge, leaving the battery at 0% and charging it up to 100%, showing its actual capacity, so you can analyze it yourself…
