Description

A parked travel trailer that rocks every time someone walks to the fridge does not have a suspension problem. It has a support problem. RV stabilizer jacks carry weight at the corners so the floor stays still while you cook, sleep or move around inside. This SucceBuy set gives you four aluminum stack jacks rated at 6,000 lb each, adjustable from 11 to 17 inches by hand, and it ships free from a warehouse in the United States.

The rocking starts at the corners, not the axle

Leaf springs are built to flex while you drive, and they keep flexing after you park. Every step inside the camper loads one side of the axle and the whole box moves. Blocks under the frame do not solve it, because a block only meets the frame at one fixed height. RV stabilizer jacks thread up to the exact gap you have, take the spring out of the equation and hold the corner where it sits.

Features

  • 6,000 lb per jack. Each of the four RV stabilizer jacks is rated at 6,000 lb, or 2.72 tonnes, far more than any single corner of a travel trailer will ever ask of it.
  • 11 to 17 inch working range. Closed they stand 11 in (280 mm) tall and they extend to 17 in (435 mm), which covers most travel trailers, fifth wheels and pop-ups on a normal site.
  • T-handle adjustment. A rotating T-shaped handle raises and lowers each jack by hand. No drill, no crank, no tools to lose in the grass.
  • Aluminum, not steel. The 0.12 in (3 mm) aluminum body will not rust in a wet campground and the complete set of four weighs only 7.3 lb.
  • Wide triangular base. The footprint spreads load across gravel, packed dirt and grass instead of driving a point into it.
  • Stacks flat for storage. The four RV stabilizer jacks nest into a package of 6.7 x 6.7 x 12.6 in, small enough for a pass-through bay or the bed of a truck.
  • Free US shipping. The set leaves a warehouse in the United States and arrives in 3 to 7 days.

RV stabilizer jacks adjusted between 11 and 17 inches under a parked travel trailer

How many RV stabilizer jacks a camper actually needs

Four is the working number for a single-axle or tandem-axle travel trailer: one at each corner of the frame, set just behind the front and just ahead of the rear. Owners of longer fifth wheels often add a second set at the mid-frame, where the floor flexes most. Because these RV stabilizer jacks are sold as a four-pack, a second set doubles your coverage without mixing brands or heights.

Where it fits

These RV stabilizer jacks sit under travel trailers, fifth wheels, pop-up campers, teardrops and truck campers all sit within the 11 to 17 inch range on a level pad. The same jacks work under a utility trailer while you load it, under a boat trailer in the driveway and under a shed frame during a repair. On soft ground, set each one on a pad or a scrap board so the base does not sink. Placing jacks on a durable surface rather than digging out the ground is also the practice the National Park Service asks for in its Leave No Trace principles.

Care and maintenance

RV stabilizer jacks need almost no upkeep. Wipe the screw thread clean of grit before you retract each jack and give it a light spray of dry lubricant once a season. Aluminum will not rust, but sand ground into the thread makes the handle stiff. Store the set closed and stacked so nothing bends the shaft. Never crawl under a trailer that is held only by RV stabilizer jacks: they are built to stop movement, not to hold the full weight of a raised vehicle. For that job you need rated jack stands.

Frequently asked questions

Do RV stabilizer jacks level the trailer?
No. Levelling is done with ramps or blocks under the wheels before you unhitch. These jacks come afterwards, to hold the levelled trailer still. Our Overland Gear range covers both jobs.

Can I use them on a soft grass site?
Yes, with a pad underneath. RV stabilizer jacks work on gravel, packed dirt and grass alike. The triangular base spreads the load well, but on wet grass or loose sand a board under each jack keeps them from settling overnight.

Will they fit a low-clearance trailer?
They need at least 11 inches between the frame and the ground when closed. Measure that gap at the corner before you order; below 11 inches you need a lower profile jack.

How much do the four together weigh?
7.3 lb (3.3 kg) for the complete set, which is roughly a third of what four steel jacks of the same rating weigh.

How fast do they ship?
They leave a warehouse in the United States and normally arrive in 3 to 7 days, with free shipping. You can see the rest of the catalogue in our store.
